Privacy
What we collect
Account data (name, email, hashed password), the startup listings you submit or claim, and standard technical logs needed to operate and secure the service. We never store plaintext passwords.
Public vs private
Approved startup information (name, description, website, city, province, industry) is public. Your email, account settings, claim history, and drafts are private.
Location accuracy
Map pins are placed at city-level centroids. We do not publish street addresses or precise coordinates for listings.
Imported data & sources
Some listings are seeded from publicly available sources. Each imported record stores its source URL and retrieval date, is reviewed before publication, and owners may claim, correct, or request removal at any time.
Your rights
You can export or delete your personal data from the dashboard at any time. Deleting your account removes your profile and unassigns listings you owned (they return to review).
We only send transactional email: verification, password reset, claim and moderation notifications. No marketing email without explicit consent.
